Allison Oldfield, M.D.

Dr. Allison Oldfield is a board-certified radiologist who earned both her medical and electrical engineering degrees at The Ohio State University. She completed her radiology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her internship was completed in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Oldfield has special interests in body imaging and musculoskeletal procedures, and artificial intelligence in medicine.

Dr. Oldfield has been with Advanced Radiology Maryland since before its official founding in 1995, and first became interested in radiology while obtaining her engineering degree.

"I've always liked technology and working with people, so radiology was the best way to mesh the two together," she says. "I really enjoy that interaction."

Dr. Oldfield serves on the cancer committee at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, and is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Outside of her work as a radiologist, Dr. Oldfield enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family. She has collaborated on a work of non-fiction authored by her brother William, and is active with the Severn River Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
