Advanced Radiology is the area’s leading source for Women’s Imaging.

At Advanced Radiology we perform over 200,000 mammograms per year and offer the latest technology in breast cancer screening at over 31 locations throughout Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Ann Arundel and Howard Counties. As one of the largest providers of imaging services in Maryland, we have a special interest and expertise in women’s imaging.

Mammography is currently the best tool available to screen for breast cancer. Annual mammograms detect breast cancer early, when it is most treatable. Mammograms show changes in the breast several years before a patient or physician can feel them. When cancers are caught early, women can choose less invasive treatments and improve their chance of survival. Mammography has helped reduce the breast cancer death rate in the U.S. by 40%*.

Today, there is a new technology for imaging the breasts called 3D Mammography (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis). 3D Mammography has been shown to increase the cancer detection rate by up to 30% for invasive more aggressive cancers when compared with 2D digital mammography**. 3D mammography also reduces the need for you to be called back for additional imaging to address indeterminate findings. Today, all healthcare insurance providers in Maryland are required to cover the full cost of either 3D or 2D screening mammograms without any co-pay or deductible.

Did you know at Advanced Radiology you can schedule a screening mammogram up to one-year prior to your appointment?
