Epilepsy affects people across different age groups with varying severity. It is estimated that 1 in 26 people in the United States will develop epilepsy at some point in their lifetime.1 Epilepsy symptoms occur when brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures or periods of unusual behavior. With proper epilepsy treatment, many types of seizures can be effectively treated. Brain imaging can play a crucial, early role in the diagnosis and management of patients affected by epilepsy.

  • Temporary confusion

  • Difficulty speaking, swallowing and walking

  • Involuntary jerking movements of the arms and legs
