Advanced Radiology, P.A., Baltimore's Largest Radiology Group, Elects New President

Baltimore, Maryland - Robert M. Stroud, MD, has been elected President of Advanced Radiology, P.A.., by the Board of Directors. In this capacity,
Dr. Stroud will direct the day-to-day operations of the company. Former President, Michael L. Sherman, MD, F.A.C.R., has been elected to the newly created position of Chairman of the Board. He will continue to work with Dr. Stroud on corporate matters in order to achieve a smooth succession.

Dr. Stroud has served as Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at St. Agnes HealthCare. He also serves as Medical Director of Seton Imaging, which performs 55,000 diagnostic exams per year. He has held both of these positions since 1997. Dr. Stroud became a member of Advanced Radiology's Board of Directors in 2000.

Dr. Stroud earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residencies in Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology at George Washington University Medical Center, as well as his fellowship in Neuroradiology. Dr. Stroud is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology with Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology.

Advanced Radiology is one of the largest and most progressive radiology practices in the country consisting of 80 board certified radiologists encompassing 21 outpatient imaging centers and eight hospitals with locations in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Prince George's Counties. This large pool of radiologists offers patients and referring physicians access to diagnostic imaging subspecialists with experience and expertise in such areas as MRI, mammography, ultrasound, CT with 3-Dimensional Imaging, DEXA scanning, P.E.T., nuclear medicine and interventional radiology.
