Advanced Radiology Offers the First Advanced Multi-Slice CT Outpatient Scanner in Baltimore

Baltimore, Maryland - Advanced Radiology is pleased to announce the addition of a new Siemens Multi-Slice CT scanner to its imaging facility at
St. Joseph Medical Center. The new scanner offers technologic advances with superior imaging capabilities than those of traditional single slice spiral CT scanners currently available.

The new Multi-Slice CT scanner allows shorter examination times and superior images for more accurate diagnosis and patient comfort. Its design provides the finest image quality and advanced clinical applications targeted to specific regions of interest.

"Our new CT scanner provides us with outstanding diagnostic information and enables us to scan a patient in a single breath hold," said Robert Stroud, MD, President. "The examination time is reduced while the patients are more comfortable. This will be a huge benefit for geriatric and pediatric patients, allowing us to examine them in a patient friendly environment designed for optimum care and comfort."

Advanced Radiology now has the ability to expand its diagnostic services to substantially more patients in the region than ever before. St. Joseph's MRI Imaging Center also performs MRI and X-ray exams.

Advanced Radiology is one of the largest and most progressive radiology practices in the country consisting of 80 board certified radiologists encompassing 21 outpatient imaging centers and eight hospitals with locations in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Prince George's Counties.
