Advanced Radiology is lead by Michael L. Sherman, M.D., F.A.C.R.. Dr. Sherman is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He was responsible for conceiving and implementing the five group merger which became Advanced Radiology. This complex merger was completed within ten months . Prior to the inception of Advanced Radiology, Dr. Sherman served as managing Director of the largest member group of Advanced Radiology. He has also served as Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Franklin Square Hospital Center and as President of the Maryland Chapter of the American College of

Radiology. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of Radiologix, Inc., a publicly traded radiology practice management company. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Helix -Medlantic Health Systems, a regional multi-hospital system. Dr. Sherman has unique experience with radiology networks, mergers and practice management companies and has been invited to speak on these matters by the American College of Radiology, the Rad iological Society of North America, and others.
